My background
After graduation, I joined the Cabinet Office as a Junior Technical Officer, creating magazines, websites, CD-ROMs, writing reports on the latest emerging computer technologies and technically supporting a bi-platform computer system. Being in the Public Sector gave me an fantastic insight in to emerging web standards, web accessibility and web usability topics; which I slowly incorporated in to my websites.
I spent seven years in the public sector, working in various roles. These included:
- Web Manager
- Successful Delivery Toolkit™ Manager and Technical Developer
- Technology Officer

Present
Since leaving the public sector in 2008, I’ve been working freelance and one of my first clients is Norfolk Constabulary; my role being helping them deliver their new external website. I am really proud of the website, a lot of hard work, tears and sweat went in to it by all those who were involved and it has been a fantastic experience working on it. All the hard work has paid off as the Norfolk Constabulary website won an Interactive Media Award.
